The masculine tones of Huntingdon Male Voice Choir were heard for the last time this summer at a final concert last Sunday (August 3).
But fear not, the nationally renowned choir will be back in September with a full and varied autumn programme.
In their final summer concert the choir welcomed Estonian Choir of the Academy of Sciences in a joint concert at Huntingdon Performing Arts Centre.

Consistently judged the leading male voice choir in Estonia, the visitors performed to a full house with a unique programme of Estonian Folk and Classical Music.

And performing a contrasting selection of music ranging from the rousing Heart of Oak, to the anthem from the musical Chess, Huntingdon Male Voice Choir's programme gave an ideal balance to the concert.
Under the baton of Peter Davies, musical director of Huntingdon Male Voice Choir, the joint finale was the rousing Llanfair, learned specially by the visitors and sung in English.

Huntingdon Male Voice Choir now take a break until Thursday, September 4, when they welcome choir members old and new to the first rehearsal of the new season at Hinchingbrooke House, starting at 7.30pm.

Next opportunity to see the choir in concert is on Saturday, October 11, at All Saints' Church, Sawtry, at 7.30pm.

>> Tickets are £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and under 16s are free.
