Shoppers were lucky to escape when a car smashed through the front window of a supermarket in Huntingdon this morning.
The crash took place just after 10.30am, when a blue Kia smashed through the shop window of Premier Supermarket in Sapley Square.

This CCTV footage shows how one young girl was extremely fortunate to escape serious injury after the car ploughed into shelves where she'd been standing.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene but there were no serious injuries.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: "The crash does not look deliberate but the incident will be subject to an investigation, and the driver has been reported for driving without due care and attention.

"A structural engineer has been called out to assess the safety of the building."
