Another year of good A Level results are being celebrated in Huntingdonshire's schools this year.
And students have smiles on their faces with more than 60 per cent going home with grades A to C.

Both Huntingdon's schools did well, with Hinchingbrooke School gaining 68 per cent A to C marks and St Peters just slightly behind, with 63 per cent.

Catherine King, 18, from Godmanchester attended Hinchingbrooke and got four As, which means she will be going to Birmingham University to study medicine.

She said: "I was predicted that, but I didn't think I would get it, so now I am just really excited about going to uni.

"Hinchingbrooke sixth form is really good and they offer a lot of support. I think most people have got what they needed."

St Ivo also did well with 67.1 per cent of its pupils gaining a C or above, with two Oxbridge successes, two medical places and two pupils in the top five for ICT in the country.

Head teacher of St Ivo Howard Gilbert said: "We think they have done really well as a year group. It's the best year we have had for pupil progress.

"Pupils are doing very well at all levels, it's not just the straight As. There's a lot of happy faces. The vast majority have got what they needed, and it's has been a lovely atmosphere."

Longsands College in St Neots have so far made the top grade, with 69.3 per cent of grades mark A to C.

Results from St Neots Community College will follow.
