Car stolen as owner defrosted windscreen

A car was stolen after the owner left it running on his driveway to defrost.
The blue Volkswagen Golf was started in Balmoral Way, Eynesbury, at around 7.50am on Wednesday (October 29).

The owner had just tipped warm water over the windscreen and was making his way back to the house. However, when he turned around to see someone driving away in the car.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and also asking drivers to be careful when leaving their car running.
